CSR Programme at Cancer Hospital
Sometimes a small act of love goes a long way. That is what we experienced when we visited the cancer hospital in December 22nd, 2017. The management and the staff of SML spent time with the patients at cancer ward, helping them celebrate and enjoy the true meaning of Christmas. We are truly grateful for those who made this meaningful event possible and we sincerely believe that we were able to spread good cheer and hope to those in need of it most.
Department of Motor Traffic – Refurbish the Reception Counter
SML has carried out many special Community Development Projects in the recent past. Giving a much needed facelift to the front desk of the Department of Motor Traffic, was one such project that was successfully carried out by SML.

Over the years SML has lend a helping hand to many who have been in need of medical funds. SML takes great care in supporting such individuals and provides them with the necessary resources to carry-out urgent medical procedures upon the recommendations of their Doctors.
Project at Department of Motor Traffic
Being one of the leading motor company in the country, we recognize the valuable contribution made by the Department of Motor Traffic, as one of the key stakeholders in the motor vehicle industry. Hence, under our Special Community Development Projects, we have embarked on a project to refurbish the reception counter of the Department of Motor Traffic in Narahenpita during the year 2014.
Special Contribution towards “Nawam Perahara”
We duly recognize our responsibility towards our culture and religion. In this endeavour SML has very rightly identified the core value of Nawam Perahara and hence has been in the fore front in funding the Nawam Perahara on annual basis. SML takes pride in being one of the long standing contributors for this iconic Perahara.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP
SML has organized many blood donation camps, giving many the golden opportunity of being a part of this merit-filled activity. This project is a part of our annual calendar and we hope to inculcate a culture of giving and enable our team to generously give of themselves and their time to others
‘Pirikara’ giving for clergy
The ‘Annual Pirikara Presenting Ceremony’ was held at the SML premises. This is an annual event, that has been dully followed for many years at SML.
